Whole or Half Hog Options

When you reserve a whole or half hog you save both time and money.

Benefits

You don’t have to waste time searching through pack after pack of possibly picked-over meat in a cooler.  In addition, you are guaranteed the quality of the meat, since you know exactly where the meat comes from.  No hormones, dyes, or antibiotics. Perhaps, the greatest benefit of reserving a whole or half a hog is that YOU choose what cuts to fill your freezer with.  Have you ever wanted 1-inch thick pork chops instead of the standard ½-inch thick and packaged in quantities to suit your family?  Think 4 pork chops to a pack instead of a “family” pack of 8 to 16 pork chops that requires additional storage or perhaps refreezing.  Imagine customizing sausage to your liking from a choice of Breakfast, Italian, Bratwurst, Chorizo, Onion, mild/medium/hot, and choose to have them packaged in a 1 pound bulk package, in casings, or bun length. Since you’re buying in bulk, you receive a price cut over purchasing individual cuts.  Saving money…nuff said!

How This Works

Our price for a whole or half hog is $5.00/lb hanging weight. This price is for the HOG ONLY and delivery to the processor.  This DOES NOT include the processing. We estimate hanging weight will range between 200 to 225 pounds for a 300 pound live weight hog. Price will be $900 for the whole hog ($450 for half).

We email you the cut sheet and walk you through the cut options. We will work with you to figure out how you want your meat cut. Once confirmed, we accept your reservation through a minimum, nonrefundable $200 security deposit. We then schedule a harvest date with the processor.  Full payment to us for the HOG is due BEFORE we deliver to the processor.  We then deliver your cut sheet and contact information with your hog to the processor.  For convenience, we can facilitate processor payment and meat pickup/delivery arrangements.
